In the 1940s, those fortunate enough to have retained their businesses and homes were overwhelmed with property tax debt after the Great Depression.  As an accountant, William (Papa) Orr searched for a way to help. He began negotiating with taxing authorities to help his fellow property owners come out from under the cloud of debt. Thus, the Orr family property tax relief effort was born.

 

Following their father into the tax business were sons Edward and Cornelius, known as Buddy and Connie to most.

These two bought an accounting firm in the late 70s, and were forerunners for property tax protests in Texas during

the boom-and-bust of the 1970s and 80s.

 

Buddy's son, Reagan, was next in this family line of Property Tax Consultants, learning first-hand from the very best. Reagan worked for his family for years as the third generation, bringing his expertise in technology to strengthen and streamline property tax assessment management for the clients being served.  

He launched Orr & Associates in 2000.

 

Not realizing his oldest son was watching everything he did, Travis Orr approached Reagan about joining him to fight the good fight to become the 4th generation Property Tax Consultant.  Together, they utilize a highly Advanced Software System and a wealth of lifelong experience, both having been brought up in the property tax world.

 

Reagan's wife of 30 years, Allison, has always had a part in Orr & Associates, but became full-time

as the youngest Orr son, Davis, graduated in 2020.
